Heather Nauert
Heather Ann Nauert, born January 27, 1970, is an American journalist for the broadcast media who was previously an official of the government. She served as the Spokesperson of the United States Department of State during the Donald Trump administration (2017 to 2019). She is a senior fellow of the Hudson Institute, which is a think tank for conservatives.
Prior to her roles at the Department of State, she worked as an ABC News correspondent and news presenter on the Fox News program Fox & Friends. Nauert was also acting Secretary of State for Foreign Diplomacy and Public Relations in the Trump government, between March and October 2018. Nauert was appointed by Trump to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, and the White House Commission on White House Fellowships in 2019.
